2010 is the year of the Soccer World Cup Championships in South Africa. This is a tournament for Africa hosted by South Africa. When Africa was awarded this rare opportunity to host this renowned soccer tournament, South Africa began preparations to satisfy all requirements. This soccer extravaganza will spread throughout the country and to neighbouring countries. South Africans are excited about this coming event. In order to maximize evangelism outreach during the 2010 World Cup Soccer tournament and in view of the excitement and convergence of people during the Soccer World Cup, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern Africa Union has published a special Signs of the Times Soccer Edition magazine. This magazine has brief summaries of the history of soccer in each participating country and articles on selected players. It also has spiritual articles which present the gospel couched in soccer language. We envisage that 250, 000 copies will be distributed in homes, hotels, lodges and work places.
